'Havell boasts the ethereal and phenomenal vocal prowess of record-breaking artist, Kate Bush.

Her Debut EP is a strong introduction to an intriguing artist'.

- The Yorkshire Times

Louise Havell is a consummate singer-songwriter, performer and multi-instrumentalist drawing inspiration from legends such as Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell, as well as more beat driven 80s artists like Giorgio Moroder and Wham. These eclectic sounds inspired an enduring love of production and arrangement which has served her well as an artist in her own right. She now releases her debut E.P. “Shooting With Lives”.

Louise grew up in London but her desire to experience other countries saw her adopt the life of a global traveller, finding inspiration in Nature, whether it be sleeping under the stars in California or the challenges of mountain dwelling. She has traversed the Earth, met many people and lived several lives, so it is unsurprising she has distilled these many experiences into her music.

Back living on a narrowboat in London and experiencing a brand-new adventure - becoming a mother - Louise set about writing her debut EP “Shooting With Lives” and, true to life, it is infused with the glorious sounds of nature; geese, boat engines and river life infusing their charms into the recordings. Taking her love of 80s pop the E.P. explores a multitude of production approaches with references to the decade throughout.

Scratch beneath the surface of these songs and the story-telling unfolds to explore the most difficult issues we face in our current world; war, homelessness, climate change, and the occasional love-song.

Louise plays live, solo with piano and with her electro-acoustic trio.
